His real birth name is Nasibu Abdul Juma though he’s popularly and known as Diamond Platnumz and he is a Muslim by religion.

but his mum insisted he completed his formal education before venturing into the music industry.

As a result, he went for his O’levels and graduated in 2006,

He spoke with his mum about his plans to become a musician and she gave him her blessings,

Following his graduation, Diamond Started making music professionally.

Even though his mum was of the opinion that he goes to school first,

She was very supportive to the extent that she gave him her gold ring to sell so he could pay for his studio sessions and music productions in 2007.

During that time Diamond Platnumz had a rough time financially but he still didn’t give up,

Instead, he attributed all those challenges as motivation and he went on to get better.

While he was still in the street and pushing his music Diamond Platnumz used to  work in a fuel station and did other menial jobs to make more money.

So in 2013, he decided to learn English so that he could sing in English because he wanted music to go global.
