Crayon is the stage name of Nigerian musician and composer Charles Chibueze Chukwu,
Who is legally known by his given biological name.
He was born on the 8th of July in the year 2000 and is originally from the state of Ebonyi in Nigeria.
Crayon was born in Orile, Lagos State, in an apartment complex known as Face-me-I-face-you.
When he was seven years old, his family relocated to Iba in Ojo, Lagos State,
And there is where he spent the most of his youth.

Professional Music Career
Crayon, like a great number of other artists who went on to have successful careers in the field,
Was always enthusiastic about making music and he is still hungry according to him,
He used to sing in the Teens choir at The Redeemed Christian Church of God,
But he eventually quit the choir when he realized that he wanted to compose secular music,
He realized he is not the kind of person who belongs in the church choir since he is not the holy kind.
Crayon walked out of the test hall during a Post-UTME examination.
At the time, he was unsigned to any record company,
So he decided to pursue a career in music instead of going back to school.
Crayon never went back to school after that. His mother and father had no idea that he had skipped the test.
Record Deal and Contracts
Back in his hood, Crayon had already published seven songs with Ozedikus before he signed a record contract with Blowtime Entertainment and Mavin Record.
When Baby Fresh heard the song, one of the employees at Mavin Records enjoyed it,
And continued to play it in the workplace, until he became curious about the artist and why he went by the name “Crayon.”
Baby Fresh also wanted to know why the artist had chosen that nickname.
Crayon received an invitation from Babyfresh to visit the Mavin offices with his songs and his producer, ‘Ozedikus,’
After the latter made contact with the former on Instagram.
He was finally given a recording contract by the record company Blowtime Entertainment,
Which is an imprint of Mavin Records and is owned by Baby Fresh.
His first appearance was on the Mavin Records track “All is in Order,”
Which also featured Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Rema, and DNA. Crayon made his debut in a grand style.
