Mr Eazi talent incubator Empawa30 Set to Fund 30 Upcoming Artist.

Over 30,000 musicians applied to be part of the Nigerian star’s development and mentorship program.

In this second edition Each artist will receive a $10,000 grant from Empawa.

The grants covers logistics including music videos, along with mentorship from professional singers, producers, and video directors.

Mr Eazi, initially, wanted to pool together 100 acts to benefit from a $3000 grant which was meant to cover the cost of a music video.

The number was later trimmed down to 30 acts and the grant increased to $10,000.

“We wanted to be able to have mentors attached to everybody — that’s easier for 30 people than 100 people,” Mr. Eazi explains.

And we wanted to be able to spend the same amount of money but have people have more of it.

The cost of videos and the cost of production have increased since the last time.” He added.

Guilty Beatz, Joeboy, Karun are current beneficiaries of the emPawa scheme.

Nigerians have dominated the list with over 19 acts on the list.
